About the search portal

The search portal provides access to the collections of Het Nieuwe Instituut. This collection consists of the national archive of Dutch architecture and urbanism, a library with an international scope. You will find references to literature, descriptions of buildings and projects, information on architects, inventories of archives and a large quantity of images.

You can use the search portal to make reservations for archival records to view later in the reading room. You can download low-res images directly from the website or place an order for a high-res scan.

The search portal is under development. Improving the quality of the data is an on-going endeavour: more and more archives are made available, there are more and more digitized photographs and drawings, and descriptions are continuously supplemented, enhanced, and cleaned up.
